After consecutive serious injuries from overtraining both in the gym and long distance running between 2012 and 2015, I was introduced to Pilates by my physiotherapist. I could not believe the transformation such simple, focused exercises produced ! This inspired me to study Stott mat and reformer in Cape Town in 2018 and 2019 and begin a small teaching practice in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, where we were living at the time. When covid hit, we moved to a beautiful farm in Kent, UK, and I continued teaching online. As soon as lockdown eased, I began teaching at a nearby studio, ultimately buying it and running it as my own until late 2024. My studies continued to expand into more equipment and rehabilitation, including common injuries or surgery recovery for shoulders, knees, hips and spines, under the guidance of an excellent osteopath. Now happily based back in Cape Town, I look forward to working with fantastic team at Body Moves.
Reformer Pilates is a modern evolution of classic Pilates, using a specialized apparatus called the reformer, which features a sliding carriage, adjustable springs, straps, and a foot bar. This machine enables controlled, fluid resistance-based movements that target multiple muscle groups simultaneously. By regulating spring tension, instructors can tailor the resistance to match each student's ability, offering both support for beginners and challenge for advanced practitioners

Reformer classes are only currently available on Wednesdays at 9am-10am and 11am-12pm.
